Phoebe Dynevor finally reveals her thoughts on Regé-Jean Page’s shock exit from Bridgerton

Last month we were both shocked and very sad to find out Rege-Jean side wouldn’t return to his role as the Duke of Hastings on the Netflix show Bridgerton.

Hearts everywhere were broken when we realized the Duke was no longer adorning our screens and would play the handsome character who got us all excited earlier this year.

However, until now, his co-star Phoebe Dynevor had thought very carefully about how she felt about her on-screen love interest in not returning to the show. But the actress has now revealed her thoughts on how this will affect the show.

The star announced his departure from the show on the show’s Instagram page last month and fans were devastated. Many complained that his character was “the show”.

A few weeks later, Page Six claimed the real reason Regé-Jean Page left the show was due to “creative differences” between Regé and executive producer Shonda Rhimes.

Fans around the world and some famous faces have shared their views on the actor’s departure and now Ms. Phoebe Dynevor has broken her on-screen silence by admitting to Variety, “I had a bit of a headache so I knew, but yeah “I think it’s a wrench.”

Regé originally announced his departure from the show, claiming it was the plan from the start. In an Instagram post, he shared a photo of himself with a heartfelt caption, thanking the cast and crew for their time on the show.

Although Phoebe said his departure would cause some problems in the show’s storyline, she continued, “The show is about the Bridgertons and there are eight books. I think the fans of the books may have been more aware of this than that Fans of the show.

“I think fans of the books know everyone [season] is about another sibling. And we are very happy to pass the baton on to the handsome Johnny who plays Anthony. Obviously it’s sad to see [Page] Go, but I look forward to being reunited with my family. “

The show is currently filming season two and there will be some fan favorites including Simone Ashley of Sex Education as Anthony Bridgerton’s love interest. Netflix also announced that Charithra Chandran will play Edwina Sharma, Kate’s younger sister, and Shelley Conn will play Mary Sharma, Kate’s mother. Calam Lynch will play Theo Sharpe and Rupert Young will play Jack.
