Phoenix artist who creates sun signs and then hides them in the valley | Arizona News

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Phoenix Suns merchandise is flying off the shelves and a local artist is creating some herself. She then lays them over the valley after each victory of the suns.

Leslie Carrasco is so excited she brought her work as an artist as a Suns fan to her fandom by creating wooden signs.

“We’ve waited so long for this,” said Leslie Carrasco of Rufus Salvaged Goods. She is so excited that she brought her work as an artist as a Suns fan to her fandom by creating wooden signs. They are in the shape of Arizona, complete with the colors of the sun and the valley glued to it. They sell out just as quickly as our suns play. “You flew,” said Carrasco. “We had so much fun.”

You have to look for signs at noteworthy hiking spots throughout the valley.

The native Phoenix also gives them away after every Sun victory. But you have to look for the signs at noteworthy hiking spots throughout the valley. She gives away tips on her Instagram account. Hopefully, she says, you want to find them as bad as you want the very first title of our suns. “I think when you go out and find something it’s fun,” said Carrasco. “It just brings love back to the valley and to the people who lived and grew up here.”
