Phoenix creative teenager hopes to find family forever | Find forever

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Boy, have the Galapagos tortoises at the Phoenix Zoo been on for a few years. And while 13-year-old Kasumy is young, she’s pretty mature for her age. During our tour at the Phoenix Zoo, I learned that Kasumy is creative, curious, and quite funny.

“I like volleyball and softball, it’s just fun,” she said.

She loves the outdoors and adventure and doesn’t waste time meeting our lazy and hungry new friends. “Okay, I’ll touch that,” she said, reaching out to touch Elvis the turtle.

Kasumy’s adoption recruiter Alana Woodworth said she would be good with parents who are trauma sensitive, patient, and have older children at home.

“That’s why we’re looking for a home with no younger children because Kasumy likes quiet and peaceful surroundings,” said Woodworth. Woodworth said Kasumy would bring endless compassion to her new family.

“It would bring so much heart, so much life, happiness, love and fun into the home, and it would make an excellent addition to a home,” said Woodworth. “She would make a family out of it.”

Aside from learning about these 500 pound giant tortoises from our tour guide Mary, Kasumy also loves to paint and draw.

“I dont know; it’s just satisfying and comforting, ”said Kasumy.

Qualities that she would look forward to in her new family full of love and stability.
