Phoenix hits its first 110-degree day in 2021

The valley isn’t expected to end here and temperatures will likely find their way into teenage years soon.

PHOENIX – For the first time in 2021, Phoenix reached 110 degrees!

The average first date for 110 degrees in Phoenix in any given year is June 11th, so this is typical at this point on the calendar.

Team 12 meteorologist Lindsay Riley predicts temperatures will continue to rise as the week progresses into mid-teenage years and the trend has the potential to break annual records.

Last year, 145 was the record for most three-digit days. The average is typically 111.

The risk of fire can also be high as the wind could be strong all weekend.
