Phoenix man who led DPS in the persecution had “a bad day,” court documents say Arizona News

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – The Phoenix man, who is accused of being the leading authority in a chase down three highways in the valley, told DPS soldiers he was having “a bad day,” according to Arizona family court documents.

Man identified after leading DPS in the Phoenix chase

It all started when Chandlar Contadino, 25, did not stop for soldiers on Interstate 10 near 40th Street west around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, documents say. The chase took DPS on three highways, including the I-17 and the Loop 101. In some places, it drove more than 100 miles per hour, according to court papers. Eventually he was surrounded near Cave Creek Road and Beardsley Road, where he came to a halt.

At the scene of the crime, soldiers say Contadino did not obey their orders. The soldiers got out, straightened their guns, and told him to get out of the truck. A couple of soldiers forced him out of the truck and onto the ground.

After his arrest, Contadino told soldiers that he was having a bad day because court records indicate that he had missed lunch. The documents also state that Contadino said he had a problem with a motor home he bought earlier that day. Contadino was booked into Maricopa County Jail that night.

Court documents showed Contadino was charged with speeding, reckless driving and escaping from officials.
