Phoenix metro attractions in January 2022
If you’re lucky enough to be on Metro Phoenix during the main winter event season, there’s plenty to do throughout January.
Whether you’re in town for a special event, like the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction in Scottsdale, or you’re a local looking to do something with the family, there are a variety of live performances, art festivals, and review exhibits .
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 data tracker, the spread of the coronavirus in the community is “high” across Arizona. Maricopa County Home and Garden Show
The Southwest’s largest home show will open the year at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix. Check out Tiny Homes on Wheels, see demonstrations and seminars, and learn tips from Master Gardeners all weekend on Tiny Homes Street of Dreams.

Tango Argentina at the Madison Center for the Arts
Eight dancers and a live quartet will perform at the Madison Center for the Arts in Phoenix on January 13th and 14th, showcasing the development of tango.

Disney on Ice presents “Dream Big”
Disney on Ice’s “Dream Big” performance will bring “breathtaking ice skating and popular Disney stories” such as “Moana”, “Coco”, “Frozen” and “Aladdin” to downtown Phoenix.
According to the Disney on Ice website, “face covering is highly recommended regardless of vaccination status” on its shows. According to the website of the venue, it is mandatory to wear a mask to enter.

Arizona Fine Art Expo
Arizona Fine Art Expo will bring a “living art community” to Scottsdale for 10 weeks from January 14th to March 27th. Every day, visitors can stop by ateliers where artists from all over the country work on their craft. Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon returns in January bringing four races – marathon, half marathon, 6 miles, 3 miles – to the streets of Tempe. It’s a “flat and fast race that will take you through the best of Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe,” according to the event website.
The 5K takes place on Saturday, the other races take place on Sunday.

Nick Kroll at the Orpheum Theater
Comedian Nick Kroll’s Middle-Aged Boy Tour arrives in downtown Phoenix on Saturday, January 15th for one night. Kroll’s tour, which began in 2019, features sold-out shows in the US and abroad.
According to the Phoenix Convention Center and Venues ticket booth, there will be no COVID-19 safety protocols for the show as of December 27th

Chandler Center for the Arts
A “biographical masterpiece about one of history’s greatest celebrities,” three-time Grammy nominees, and a gypsy rock band are among the upcoming Chandler Center for the Arts performances in January. The following is on the schedule:
The venue’s website states: “We recommend that all visitors (regardless of their vaccination status) wear a well-fitting mask over their nose and mouth for all performances inside the building.”

Barrett Jackson Auto Auction
The highly anticipated Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction will bring many auto enthusiasts back to Scottsdale’s WestWorld for a week starting Saturday, January 22nd.
On the website of the event it says: “At this time there is no mask requirement to participate in our event. As at all major events, we ask all unvaccinated guests to wear face coverings in the house during the auction. ”Collector’s cars are staged in“ well-ventilated buildings ”and open-air tents.

The magical world of afternoon tea
Afternoon tea at Drink Me! Two-course tea room in Tempe: Full Wizard’s Tea (USD 55 per person) and Muggle tea (USD 37 per person). Special tea blends will be available for the event. ‘Fat’ at the Fountain Hills Theater
Danny Zuko, Sandy Dumbrowski and their friends from Rydell High School will take to the main stage in a “Grease” production at the Fountain Hills Theater from January 28th to February. 13. Guests must have evidence of COVID-19 vaccination, present a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending, or wear a mask indoors.

The stage adaptation of the film “Waitress” will stop at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Phoenix from January 28-30. Masks must be worn inside unless eating or drinking.

For a week, Old Town Scottsdale is hosting “Events That Pay Tribute to the City’s Western Roots and Native American Heritage.” Western week consists of:
