PHOENIX – Phoenix Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect’s vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Friday.

The collision occurred near 71st Avenue and Thomas Road just before 10 a.m. when a man with his Chevrolet Tahoe hit a sedan and pickup truck and did not stop, police said.

The vehicle is an older Chevrolet Tahoe, tan or gold in color, with front damage, while police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man between 25 and 35 years old with short dark hair.

A reward of up to $ 1,000 will be offered, police said.

The driver of the pickup, 48-year-old Manuel Maldonado, died in the hospital from his injuries, the police said.

A man and a woman in the limousine were each transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Phoenix Police Department at (602) 262-6141. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish.
