THE ANGEL

A man from Pinedale, New Mexico faces a 30-year prison sentence after being repeatedly accused of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 12.

Manison Largo, 41, admitted to federal agents after his arrest that he inappropriately touched the girl in his apartment for more than a year.

Largo has three children, but according to court documents none of the allegations concern his children.

According to his arrest report, Navajo police became aware of the situation when the victim called 911 and said she had been sexually assaulted by Largo. She later told FBI investigators that she tried to report the attacks to her parents, but it went nowhere.

According to court records, the underage girl was interviewed by a child forensic expert on February 4. In this interview, she claimed that Largo not only touched her inappropriately several times, but also sexually assaulted her.

She said she did not know that another child was being molested by Largo. She added that she was eventually placed in a position where Largo was out of contact with her.

FBI investigators said they interviewed Largo at his apartment on Feb.21.

He said sexual contact with the victim began after she sat on his lap after bathing. He said this ended up with inappropriately touching her under her clothes. He denied attacking her at any time.

During the interview, according to court records, he expressed “remorse for his actions” and said he wanted to apologize to the victim because he knew that his actions were “inappropriate and hurtful”.

He added that his actions made him feel like a sexual predator.

Largo is currently in custody at the US Marshall’s Office in Albuquerque. Court documents said he will be moved to an intermediate house at some point once an opening occurs.
