Preps Roundup: Lady Vols Top Prescott 56-48 | Kingman DailyMiner

KINGMAN — A late-game run wasn’t enough to topple Lee Williams High School’s Lady Volunteers (10-7), who beat Prescott (1-13) 56-48 on Friday, Jan. 14.

Lee Williams led 12-10 after a quarter and 27-19 at halftime.

The Lady Badgers scored 10 straight points in the fourth quarter, but Lee Williams was able to stop the game at the foul line and take home the win 56-48.

“It was an important away win for us,” said head coach Jerry Arave. “After getting knocked out by Flagstaff earlier in the week, we really needed to get out there and play hard basketball. It was a team win as all of our players saw action tonight and our bench really contributed to that.”

Becca Arave led the Lady Vols with 17 points, followed by Toria Gravell with 11, Taliyah Crook with nine and Chelsea Torrey with seven.
