Ready, Set, Go! The Tucson Children’s Museum will reopen March 25th after it closed due to a pandemic

TUCSON (KVOA) – Tucson Children’s Museum is ready to welcome families back after closing for a year due to the pandemic.

The Tucson Children’s Museum at 200 S. Sixth Ave. downtown will reopen on March 25th. It is open Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the museum is limited to a third of its capacity and is controlled with timed entry. Admission is $ 9 per person. Military personnel and visitors receive discounts on public assistance.

Visitors have access to all exhibits in the museum as well as to activities in the courtyard of curiosities and updated exhibits.

Visitors aged 5 and over must wear masks at all times in the museum. As for the outdoors, the museum has provided plenty of social distancing space for kids to explore and play.

The Oro Valley Children’s Museum at 11015 N. Oracle Rd. Will reopen April 1st. The early childhood education space is open Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with limited capacity and limited time entry. Admission is $ 7 per person with pre-sale tickets and discounts available online.

CMOV also has some updates both indoors and outdoors. Visitors aged 5 and over must wear masks in the museum.

Arizona Milk Producers is the Take Me to the Museum! Sponsor and will have goody bags for the first 250 children at CMT and the first 100 children at the CMOV opening weekend.

The museum requires that entering adults be accompanied by children under the age of 18 and that all children are supervised by an adult.
