Red Flag Warning, issued May 16 at 3:18 p.m. MDT through May 16 at 9:00 p.m. MDT from NWS Tucson AZ

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a red flag
Warning that applies from noon today through 8 p.m. MST
Eve.

* AFFECTED AREA … Cochise County, South Graham and Greenlee
Counties, Santa Cruz County, and far south Pima County.

* TIMING … noon today through 8 p.m. MST tonight.

* WINDS … 20 foot winds will be 20 to 25 miles per hour from the southwest
with gusts up to 35 miles per hour.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY … 7 to 13 percent.

* IMPACT … All fires that start or continue will have the
Potential to spread quickly.

A red flag warning means that there are critical fire weather conditions
either occur now … or are expected to develop. A
Combination of strong wind … low relative humidity … and dry
Vegetation creates the potential for rapid and irregular fires
Growth.

Red flag box warning for parts of Southeast Arizona.
