Republican women from northeast Arizona meet | news

The newly formed Northeast Arizona Republican Women (NEAZ) met for the first time on July 26th at 6:30 p.m. in Snowflake. The meeting took place in La Cocina de Eva in their conference room with 29 women present. The speakers were Cindy Casaus, President of the Arizona Federation of Republican Women (AzFRW) and Arlene Goldblatt 2nd Vice President. The two speakers shared the benefits of membership in the National Association of Republican Women (NFRW) as well as in the National Association. Former State Senator Sylvia Allen from the Navajo County Republican Committee (NCRC) also reported on the planned redistribution of Legislative District 6.

The AzFRW has the third largest membership in the national association after California and Texas. Founded in 1924, the Arizona Federation of Republican Women is chartered under the National Federation of the Republican Women (NFRW), the largest grassroots Republican women network in the United States. Local chapter members automatically become members of both AzFRW and NFRW.

Joining a national organization like the NFRW and AzFRW has many advantages. Its website states, “We strive to empower Republican women of all ages and backgrounds, to empower the Republican Party, and to work to influence the crucial problems our community and our country face. The AzFRW offers women the opportunity to influence politics, develop candidates, and elect Arizona leaders. We are a cross-generational, multicultural organization that provides political activists with the structure and support to learn, engage and thrive. The AzFRW works closely with the Arizona Republican Party (AZGOP), the County Republican Committees, and the Republican National Committee (RNC) to build the size and strength of the Republican Party by recruiting qualified candidates for office and strengthening our grassroots network . “

The local Northeast Chapter, NEAZRW, has adopted statutes based on the national and state federations, but has created its own list of core values that focus on the five F’s: Faith, Family, Freedom, Foundation and Community. The founding of the Local Chapter has been occupying some of the founding members for a long time. One member stated. “I moved here four years ago; I went online to see if there was a local Republican women’s group but couldn’t find any. I was very excited when a friend who works for the NCRC told me that she and others were starting a Republican women’s group in the White Mountains. I said right away, I’m in! ”Many of the new members say they are joining to make a difference in government for their children and grandchildren. They are dissatisfied with the direction our nation has taken towards communism and away from our basic principles contained in our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. One member who is a grandmother and cannot get out much said, “I have been looking for a way to get involved and when I join this group I will be informed; I can make phone calls, send e-mails and be a voice for freedom. “

NEAZRW meets every second Tuesday of the month. Meetings consist of Chapter Business, speakers from conservative organizations, candidates running for office, current government officials, and Republican Party leaders. There will also be a report from the NCRC and other Republican groups to educate members on how to network to increase their effectiveness in Arizona.

The next meeting of NEARW is on August 10th at 6:30 pm. The venue is La Cocina de Eva, 201 N. Main St., Snowflake. The speaker will be a representative of Save Our Nation, a major Republican event taking place at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds on August 28th. Republicans across the state will be attending and with nationally renowned Conservative voice Charlie Kirk as well as Conservative candidates running for office in 2022 the Facebook page: Northeast Arizona Republican Women and private message for details.
