Safe Kids Pima County is partnering with Tucson Medical Center, the Tucson Police Department, and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to run a car seat raffle for parents and carers to ensure children drive as safely as possible.
This event will take place on September 11, 2021. Four times are available from the Tucson Police Department at 1310 W. Miracle Mile.
To get a child seat, parents need to register and take a free one-hour course. Register at tmcaz.com/events/car-seat-giveaway-event. Only one car seat per participant and children will not be admitted to the course.
Car accidents are one of the leading causes of death and injury to American children, and properly used child seats can reduce the risk of death by up to 71 percent. Unfortunately, almost 60 percent of car seats are not used or installed properly.
