SANDRA NYE BAUGH

Flagstaff, Ariz.

Sandra Nye Baugh, 72, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2021 at Flagstaff Medical Center. She was born on July 29, 1948 in Cedar Rapids to Gerald and Sarah Mulvany (Luberger).

Sandy graduated from Washington High School in the 1966 class. Shortly after graduating, she married James Baugh and raised a family in Colorado with three children, Scott, Stacy, and Brandon. In addition to raising her children, Sandy enjoyed raising and successfully showing off many Grand Champion Shaded Silver Persian cats.

After their 28-year marriage ended, she found herself in Utah, back in Iowa, and finally in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she worked as a caregiver, office assistant, grandmother and grandmother to two wonderful cocker spaniels, Ellie and Sady.

She is survived by a child, Scott Baugh and his wife, Connie Baugh of Flagstaff; Sisters, Patti Heaton from Florida and Denise Kennedy from Iowa; two grandchildren, Sarah Baugh and Alexia Voss; four nieces, Jill Kennedy, Lora Overbeck, Sarah Orial, and Robin Christofferson; and three great-grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Sue Cline; and kids, Brandon and Stacy Baugh.

A private family service will be held in Colorado at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the High Country Humane Society at 11665 N. HWY 89, Flagstaff, AZ using Sandy’s name.
