Scottsdale man, Phoenix woman dead after car accident in Flagstaff building | Phoenix traffic
FLAGSTAFF, AZ (3TV / CBS 5) – A Scottsdale man and a Phoenix woman died over the weekend after crashing into a building in Flagstaff.
Flagstaff police say it happened around 3 a.m. on Saturday near Country Club Drive and Soliere Avenue.
When the officers arrived on site, they found a car with two people near the car in the lobby of a store. The two people were later identified as 23-year-old Jeffrey Kassir from Scottsdale and 22-year-old Amanda Mosqueria from Phoenix.
Kassir, who the police believed was the driver, died on the spot. Mosqueria was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.
During their preliminary investigation, Flagstaff police found information showing the car was traveling southwest on North Country Club Drive towards East Soliere Avenue when the car exited the street. The car then crossed the median mean and crashed into the deal. Both Kassir and Mosqueria were ejected from the car at the time of impact.
The investigation is still ongoing, and investigators are working to determine whether the speed or other factors may have contributed to the crash.
