Site merger makes MyrtleBeachSC News the largest media fansite in Myrtle Beach DMA MyrtleBeachSC News

After a recent business trip to Dallas, Texas, David Hucks, editor of MyrtleBeachSC News, decided to merge his two similar Facebook pages.

Both sites were actually long-held duplicates of the same business site. Facebook allows merging duplicate pages.

The merger now makes MyrtleBeachSC News the largest fan-based media site in the Myrtle Beach Area DMA.

“Our readers will hear about more changes to MyrtleBeachSC News soon,” said editor David Hucks. “My time in Dallas was an eye-opener for the newly-coming team. While the majority of our traffic comes from direct local readers, followed by Google Organic Searches and Google News Searches, 2022 was the right time to make this change.”

In 2021, MyrtleBeachSC News branched into sections that now include Home & Garden, Lifestyle, Health, Business and Culture.

“These broadcast changes allow us to publish a variety of news content that really appeals to our local retiree demographic. In short, these broadcast changes have expanded our reach and readership,” Hucks added.

Hucks said, “I think Myrtle Beach will be moving in a much more positive direction soon. Horry County is already the fastest growing county in the state. We are excited to be part of a community that is trending well.”
