TeamRHJ hopes to get Tucson’s best basketball players to stay in town

“We want to get them when they’re young and develop them,” said Hood. “I think kids and parents want real platforms, but they didn’t have that there,” in Tucson.

But it can’t be easy. The club basketball world is full of recruiting battles for top players, which Southern California-based club and event operator Dinos Trigonis knows all too well.

“He has some good players and a good spirit,” said Trigonis of Hood, whose teams have played at Trigonis’ events. “Easier said than done, that’s probably the greatest. Lots of competition for these kids. “

Nnaji establishes the foundation

Former Arizona striker Zeke Nnaji announced that he has set up a Nnaji Family Foundation to build basketball facilities and vocational schools in Nigeria.

“Our mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of young people across Africa and the United States through education and athletics,” Nnaji said in a tweet.

Arizona forward Zeke Nnaji, 22, will face Washington State in the first half of his Pac12 game at McKale Center on March 5, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona.
