The Google Page Experience update replaces the old Google Speed update
Google has introduced numerous search algorithms around speed in the past. The question some people ask is whether Google is still using these old ones or whether the new Page Experience Update will replace them. Google’s John Mueller said he expected the Page Experience Update to replace the old ones.
Google’s John Mueller said on Twitter: “We are trying to avoid unnecessary duplication in our code, so I would assume this will replace the previous speed ranking factors.”

The old Google Page Speed update was announced in 2018. Before that, Google 20210 also had a speed factor. I assume that these are all gone and that this Page Experience Update has replaced them.
