The Phoenix Boys Choir performs GLORIOUS REVERBERATION

Accompanied by the majestic sounds of the grand pipe organ, the Phoenix Boys Choir will perform GLORIOUS REVERBERATION on Saturday, March 19 at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Mesa and on Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Phoenix perform.
Tickets range from $15 to $25 (children under 12 are free) and can be purchased at boyschoir.org.

The focus of the program is Louis Vierne’s Mass Solennelle Op. 16. Composed in 1899, this masterpiece has been described as a harmonically opulent feast, marrying the angelic voices of the chorus in conjunction with the colorful majesty of the pipe organ.
The play has not been performed in Arizona for over a decade and is accompanied by the Phoenix Boys Choir Town Choir, Tour Choir, Young Men’s Ensemble and Masters Men’s Choir. The incomparable Dr. Jeremy Peterman will perform on the organ.

The concert also includes secular and sacred works from the years 1850 to 1950, including tracks composed by professors, colleagues and contemporaries of Louis Vierne.

As a bonus, this performance will be preceded by a concert discussion that shares the musical brilliance, vibrancy and historical relevance of Vierne’s choral and organ works to the Western classical music repertoire.

The Phoenix Boys Choir’s Glorious Reverberation concerts are supported by the City of Phoenix Department of Arts and Culture and the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
