DHIRKOT: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said in an address to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday that the same side he was speaking about has become a disgrace.
She said, “You are the one who is a setting sun along with those who you would say are on the same side as you.” She said Imran Khan brought destruction rather than change to the country.
“Nawaz Sharif is a shining beacon in the country now,” she said.
She said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s rally, held the day before in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Bagh area, was “a flop show” despite having spent “millions” on it.
“If he hadn’t attended this rally, he might have kept a little respect,” she said at a rally.
Maryam said the prime minister “found an ATM in Kashmir”.
“But now the time for the ‘note’ (currency) is over and it is time to respect the voice,” said the PML-N vice-president, quoting the party’s mantra, “vote ko izzat do (honor the Voice)”.
Maryam said that the party’s enemies always said Nawaz Sharif’s policies had “come to an end” and spoke of a “minus Nawaz Sharif” formula for the country. “People made a plus-plus formula out of this,” she said. The PML-N Vice President told the Premier: “The countdown has now started for you.”
Maryam continued to criticize the prime minister, saying “after losing the case of occupied Kashmir, his eyes are now on Azad Kashmir”.
“You can run away with the ballot box or put yourself in the ballot box. You can try to stop us (but you will not be able to), ”she told the PTI, calling on all PMLN supporters to guard the ballot box on election day.
“Don’t let these voice thieves off the hook,” she told them.
In a warning to the Prime Minister, she said, “Don’t you dare look at Azad Kashmir with evil intentions.”
Maryam said an “inflation tsunami” drowned the poor in it, with gasoline now trading at 118 rupees per liter for the first time.
“Imran Khan, do you also want to bring a Pakistani change to Azad Kashmir?”
“If Imran Khan wins even a single seat in Kashmir, people will not accept it,” she said.
