The Tampa Sports activities Bar is providing free coronavirus testing to Bucs followers on the Tremendous Bowl get together

TAMPA, Florida (WFLA) – This year the road to the Super Bowl is paved to be on the safe side.

Hosting a large crowd comes with great responsibility. Just ask Ducky’s Sports Bar owner Gio Cruz.

“We want to be compliant, we want to follow the rules,” said Cruz. “We have security, we have cops here. We offer free COVID tests. When people walk around, when they walk around and don’t eat or drink, we tell them to put your mask on. “

Cruz’s main concern for Super Bowl LV was to make sure its customers are safe, happy, and healthy. The pandemic hit the catering industry hard.

But with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the big game, there was a big financial boom. And lots of love from the locals as well as tourists visiting the area.

“I’m from Dallas, Texas,” said Rose Spears. “We wanted to be in the area to support Tom Brady and the Bucs.”

William Crabtree runs a marketing company alongside Ducky’s. Crabtree and Cruz have teamed up to throw a COVID-friendly party for fans.

“We wanted to make sure everyone could come out safely and celebrate. We wanted to follow the rules and be compliant and work to make everyone happy. “

Mission accomplished, say fans.

The Super Bowl Eve party was a surefire success.

There were temperature controls at the door, as well as disinfection stations and Tampa police officers to ensure safety while wearing the mask.

Deejay Jason Carey was from Atlanta.

“Everyone is united by sport and music, no matter which team you have this weekend, it’s a party!” Said Carey.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Mike Alstott Foundation, Pepin Academy, and the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
