UPDATE: YPD has issued press releases on two of the three accidents, confirming the 8th Street crash resulted in the death of a man.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night. A man on a 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling east on 8th Street before making a left onto B Avenue. While making a turn, the man was struck by a Dodge Dakota truck traveling west on 8th Street.

The man on the motorcycle was then taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. YPD says the driver and passenger in the Dodge were not injured. The department also says alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor.

The accident near 3rd Street occurred around 9:46 p.m. According to YPD, a man on a dirt bike rode west on 3rd Street, where he ran over a stop sign before turning onto B Avenue. The man on the dirt bike was then hit by a Toyota Corolla traveling north on B Avenue. The dirt bike rider then fell off his bike onto the road. He was later taken to the YRMC with life-threatening injuries and then airlifted to a Phoenix-area hospital in critical condition.

Anyone with additional information on either crash is asked to call YPD at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime at (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous.
