Today’s forecast for Tucson, Arizona

TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) – As we approach Labor Day weekend, temperatures are rising and the monsoons remain fairly calm.

In the mid to late 90s, highs will rise as we near the weekend and the monsoons will try to make a small comeback.

A little more moisture will come in from the southeast and help create a few more showers and thunderstorms.

Most thunderstorms will favor higher elevations east and south of Tucson, but even the metropolitan area can still see more rain.

If you want to go to the mountains on the weekend, be sure to bring rain gear and watch out for lightning bolts!
