Tucson hits record high for fifth day in a row | Local news
Another day, another temperature record in Tucson on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service said Tucson Airport hit a high of 114 degrees, breaking the old record of 109 degrees set in 1985.
This was the fifth straight day in Tucson, with record highs stretching from Saturday at 110, Sunday at 112, Monday at 112, Tuesday at 115, and the scorcher on Wednesday.
An overheating warning applies to the region until Saturday night. More record highs could be broken this week.
The Thursday through Friday highs in Tucson are expected to hit 113, according to the NWS. The forecast for Saturday is 112 and for Sunday 109.
