TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – A high school senior received free wisdom tooth extractions Friday.
It is part of the Arizona Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Program, Wisdom for Wisdom. The free surgery is designed to help offset the cost of attending college.
Jazlin Lopez, a high school graduate, will be attending Pima Community College this fall.
Lopez said, “When I found out I was going to have my extractions done, I did a little more research specifically on this place. And I saw it on the website and just thought I was applying. You know, maybe so? I have the chance to reimburse some of the payments to my parents. I’m still a little nervous. But I know everything will be fine. I trust that I’m here. “
Three other seniors were also awarded extractions as part of the program.
