Hobby Lobby’s Register Guard ad has been investigated
The full page ad created on Register-Guard was first shared by a Twitter user named Captain Tono. She wrote: “Hobby-Lobby placed a full-page ad in Register-Guard this morning. Talk about how America should only be run by Christians. Absolutely terrifying. Please remember that Michaels, Joanns, and your local craft / hobby shops are always an excellent place to spend your money. ”
The ad featured a picture of a child wearing the American flag and it was written “One Nation Under God,” with “Under God” in bold.

I’ve only been to the Hobby lobby for the past few years because it’s the closest craft store I have that isn’t insanely overpriced (no Michaels and the local Joanns are overpriced and run by really rude people).
But I think I’m done. I don’t go there often. But I’m done.

Underneath, the ad said: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Psalm 33:12. ”The ad continued to have several subheadings. These included: “President, Finding Fathers, Supreme Court Justice, Congress, Education, Supreme Court Judgments and Foreign Opinion.”
Under each subtitle in the ad, there were some quotes from people belonging to that category. For example, the “President” section contained a quote from Thomas Jefferson, while the “Founding Fathers” section contained a quote from Jedidiah Morse.

A reminder not to shop in the Hobby Lobby as they continue to spread false stories in the name of bigotry. It is also a pity for any newspaper group that still needs money to spread this bigotry. Wasn’t January 6th enough? https://t.co/tiBmIOdlDh
