Two men are injured while filming in the Desert Sky Mall in western Phoenix

PHOENIX – According to authorities, two men with life-threatening injuries were rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon following a shooting in the Desert Sky Mall in Phoenix.

Phoenix police responded to the mall near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road just before 12:45 p.m. and found the two men with gunshot wounds.

The preliminary investigation revealed that there was an argument between the two men and several other men prior to the shooting.

Authorities say the suspects fled the scene before the police arrived.

The area will be closed for the next few hours as the police speak to witnesses.

The investigation is still ongoing.
