Two Tucson restaurants make Yelp’s list of ‘Top 100 Places to Eat in US’
The Yelpers have spoken and two local spots have landed on Yelp’s “Top 100 Places to Eat in 2023.”
Not only did these two Tucson restaurants make the list but they stormed their way to the front of it, both ended up it in the top 30.
tumericowned by Wendy Garcia, who’s also a current semifinalist for a James Beard Award, is listed at #8 in the list of 100 restaurants around the US Just a couple of months ago, Tumerico was named one of the “23 Best Vegan Mexican Food Spots Across the US” by the publication VegNews. Garcia is also the owner of La Chaiteria at Grande and Congress.

Buendia Breakfast & Lunch Cafe made the list as well and came in at #26. With all of the warm smiles, the brightly-colored dining room, and incredible food that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, it’s no surprise that the cafe is on this list.
If you’re looking for a class breakfast experience, there’s plenty of that on the menu, but if you’re in the mood to try something unique, give the Buendia’s Poblano Pepper Stuffed with Corn Tamale and Cheese. You’ll go home with a smile just as big as the one you were greeted with when you arrived.
Buendia Breakfast & Lunch Cafe is located at 2530 N. First Ave. For more information, follow Buendia on Facebook.
