PHOENIX – US marshals arrested a couple in Phoenix earlier this year who were wanted in North Carolina for the murder of a woman, the agency said Tuesday.
Tangela Parker, 50, and Eric Parker, 62, were found near Deer Valley Road and 35th Avenue around 12:30 p.m. after they were on the run and wanted since the January 13th murder of Phelfia Marlow.
“It’s been six months since the tragic murder of Phelfia Marlow,” said Chris Edge, acting US marshal for the Western District of North Carolina, in a press release.
“I hope that Phelfia’s family will come to an end that day, knowing that the Parkers have been arrested, and will finally answer for their crimes against a loved one from North Carolina.”
Witnesses said Marlow was shot dead several days earlier at a furniture factory in Hickory, North Carolina, following a labor dispute, authorities said.
Authorities said they handled over 30 leads in eight states before discovering that the couple had lived in a Phoenix home, alias Jason and Elizabeth Reardon.
