Welcome back to the Pima County Public Library

(Tucson, AZ) It has been a little over a year of COVID-19 restrictions, and the Pima County Public Library is once again turning to the needs of our valued customers and the community.

Starts April 5th and 6thwill be customers allowed in our buildings with masks for limited services.
Health and safety precautions still apply:

  • All people have to wear masks A new window will open in libraries as per Pima County Resolution 2020-96.
  • The occupancy is limited.
  • Visits limited to maximum 1 hour.
  • People wishing to enter the library should do so Expect to wait in line.
  • Physical distancing must be adhered to. Stay at least 6 feet away from other people.
  • Your temperature is taken before you enter. If your temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher, you will not be able to enter.
  • Indoor library Visits are a must short.
  • Children under 15 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

What will be available:

  • Surfing and self-checkout
  • Up to an hour of computer usage
  • Self-service printing, faxing and copying
  • The continuation of the curb / outdoors holds the pick-up (reserve material online or via the info line at (520) 791-4010)
  • Grab-N-Go Food Service at selected locations, opens a new window

What will not be available:

  • No reading, studying, or socializing in the library.
  • There is no furniture available to sit and read materials.
  • No newspapers available.
  • Conference and study rooms are closed.
  • No personal programs or events.

Hours and Places:

We are happy to invite customers back to our buildings to participate in limited services, including brief surfing and computer use. Days and hours of operation remain the same. For a full list of hours, see the Hours / Locations page. A new window will open.

Valid from Monday, April 5, 2021Customers can enter buildings in the following libraries:

  • Monday – Friday: Caviglia-Arivaca, Dewhirst-Catalina, Dusenberry-River, Eckstrom-Columbus, Flowing Fountains, Sky Park, Joel D. Valdez Main, Joyner Green Valley, Kirk-Bear Canyon, Miller-Golf-Links, Oro Valley Public, Quincie Douglas , Richard Elías Mission, Salazar-Ajo, W. Anne Gibson-Esmond Station, Wheeler Taft Abbett, Sr.

Valid from Tuesday, April 6th, 2021Customers can enter buildings in the following libraries:

  • Tuesday Saturday: Martha Cooper, Murphy-Wilmot, Nanini, Sam Lena-South Tucson, Valencia, Woods Memorial

Please note that the following libraries do not offer public services: El Rio, Sahuarita, and Southwest. The following two libraries do not allow public access: The Frank De La Cruz-El Pueblo Library only offers Grab-N-Go catering services, and the Santa Rosa Library continues to offer roadside / outdoor pickup and Grab-N- Go catering to services.

No, we are not back to normal, but things are moving in the right direction. In addition, the first week of April is National Libraries Week. What could be nicer than going to your library?
