Woman dead after being hit by a car on the west side of Tucson

TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – A woman in her 60s is dead after being hit by a car on the west side of Tucson on Monday, December 27, according to police.

According to Tucson Police, officers were called to the 1900 block on West Grant Road around 10:30 p.m. and found a woman seriously injured. The woman was taken to the Banner University Medical Center, where she died shortly after arriving.

Detectives said they were discovering a 2004 white Isuzu rodeo driving east on a center lane on Grant Road when it met the woman. The officers found that the Isuzu’s driver was not affected in the collision.

Investigators assume that the woman was not standing on a zebra crossing at the time of the impact.
