Woman killed in crash on Tucson’s southeast side | Local news

A 23-year-old woman was killed in a car accident on the southeast side on Sunday evening, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said.

MPs responded to a crash on South Houghton Road north of East Brekke Road near the Pima County Fairground just before 9 p.m.

Investigators found that a limousine driving north on Houghton hit the oncoming lane and collided with an SUV. The limo driver, Graciela Alanis, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nobody was seriously injured in this collision.

The traffic unit detectives have answered and are conducting the investigation. Neither speed nor impairment appear to be a factor.
