The Yuma Art Center also calls on all visual artists to help make the community a little less “trashy”. The city’s Downtown Trash Enclosure Art Project is seeking artisans to design, create, and install murals that “will further enhance the historic North End of the community.”
A local leading industrial contractor, Degree Mechanical, LLC, made this program possible through an initial generous donation to the Main Street Fountain Project. The city of Yuma decided to allocate these funds to the downtown arts-based enterprise.
The closing date for entries is Friday, September 3rd. Click here for the full application. City planners expect the project to be installed from October through December.
