The coalition electronically awarded Williams a full scholarship, including room and board, for the 5-week program. The auditions were submitted via video due to COVID-19 restrictions.

SAB has reduced the number of dancers in the program due to the pandemic, making this opportunity even more prestigious. Only 60 students are allowed to live this summer. The rest have to find their own accommodation.

WIlliams, 16, is sophomore of Gila Ridge High School and has been a student at Yuma Ballet Academy since she was ten.

Ballet Yuma was founded in 1994 as a non-profit organization and is South Ariza’s first pre-professional company of ballet dancers who train exclusively at the Yuma Ballet Academy.

The non-profit organization is currently holding an online raffle for Mother’s Day. Valued at $ 1,000; The competition is a 14 carat rose gold pendant set with 37 round brilliant cut diamonds weighing 0.25 caret, which is suspended from a 0.9 mm cable chain made of 18 inch 14 carat rose gold. A winner will be announced on Sunday, May 8th at 5pm

Sweepstakes tickets can be purchased individually for $ 5 or in a pack of 5 for $ 20. If you are interested, please email [email protected] or call (928) 446-6770.
