Yuma boys are looking for fifth place in a row – Yuma Pioneer

The Yuma High School boys’ basketball team is aiming for its fifth straight win on Tuesday, February 16 if it comes to Haxtun.
The Indians are 4-0 in the Lower Platte Activities Association game, 4-3 overall, after doubling Caliche (86-43) last Friday for their fourth straight win.

Yuma broke out on the Buffaloes’ home course for 31 points in the first quarter. The Indians led at half time with 51:15 and in the second half with up to 48 points.
It was the third time in the Indians winning streak in four games that they scored more than 70 points, an average of 78 points during the series.
Yuma shot 44 percent, of which 52 percent shot with 2 pointers. The Indians started 29 behind the arch and made nine. They came with 12 steals and only made 10 sales.
A total of 11 Indians scored. Javier Gamboa had 17 points and two rebounds, Clay Robinson 14 points and two rebounds, Jonathan Carillo 12 points and three steals, Jesus Ross eight points, five steals and three rebounds, Forest Rutledge seven points and two steals, Beau Tate six points and six Rebounds, Lane Remmich four points and two rebounds, Damon Thornton four points, Angel Escobar four points, Andre Baucke two points and three rebounds and Cade Morton three assists.
