Yuma County to expand immunization eligibility

County enters phase 1B vaccinations

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma County Public Health District (YCPHD) announced on Wednesday that the county will expand eligibility for the coronavirus vaccine with immediate effect.

According to YCPHD, the county has completely shifted to Phase 1B to include adults aged 55 and over.

Those who are now eligible for recording are:

  • Educational and childcare facilities
  • Law enforcement / protection services
  • Adults aged 55 and over
  • Adults living in congregational situations
  • Other key workers (including energy and utility workers, food and agriculture-related professions, material transportation and relocation jobs, government and local government workers providing critical services, and other key workers)
