Cody Lee joined 13 On Your Side and KYMA News 11 in March 2020 but is no stranger to Arizona. He grew up in the Phoenix area and enjoys all that Arizona has to offer.
Before joining Yuma, he was a news video editor at Arizona’s Family 3TV / CBS 5 in Phoenix.
Lee spent most of his life watching the news and discovering a passion for television news journalism. After college, Lee got an opportunity in Las Vegas, Nevada, on KSNV News 3, working on the longtime local morning news show, “Wake Up with the Wagners,” and the top rated weekend news. He spent 3 years at KSNV before getting a new experience in Sin City at KLAS 8 News Now.
Cody later switched to real estate marketing until he returned to his hometown of Phoenix.
Lee looks forward to starting this new journey as a journalist here in Yuma and the Imperial Valley. He begins his on-air duties amid the devastating coronavirus pandemic.
When he’s not reporting on the amazing people in his communities, you can catch him hiking or spending time exploring all of the great things that Yuma and the Valley are known for. He also likes to relax at home and read the latest headlines – with his tabby cat Oliver.
You can see him airborne Wednesday through Friday at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on CBS 13. Weekends at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on KYMA News 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. on CBS 13.
