Yuma is the greatest! The voices are in and your local news guide continues his series

The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce and Yuma Sun hosted the 23rd Annual Virtual Edition of Yuma Best Awards Show on Social Media

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – At the beginning, entries had to be faxed for the annual survey that rated everything and every Yuma. More than two decades later, the survey has now been digitized.

In the Yuma’s Best survey, respondents were asked to pick the best in several categories. The survey ranges from topics like the best restaurant, the repair shop, and even the most popular community event.

A new category has been added this year as the COVID-19 pandemic was recently canceled. In the new category, respondents were asked which event they missed the most, and the overwhelming choice was the Yuma County Fair.

KYMA-TV was named Yuma County’s News Leader for the 20th consecutive year. Respondents also voted for their best “TV Personality” vote and KYMA TV’s Lead Anchor Jenny Day topped the list. The following day was Sunrise Anchor Dominique Newland, also on KYMA-TV. Rob Fram finished third. Congratulations to everyone!
