Yuma Regional Medical Center welcomes new class of medicine residents

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is welcoming a new class of residents who will receive training at the hospital’s Family Medicine Center.

Eight Family & Community Medicine residents recently graduated from medical school and will spend the next three years treating patients under the mentorship of other YRMC doctors.

Members of the class are:

Deya Ajaleh, MD

Ravi Jagani, MD

Mirna Mikhael, MD

Jason Pannozzo, MD

Jagat Patel, MD

Kaitlyn Pesterfield, MD

Vishav Sehdev, MD

Derrick Smith, MD

“We are truly excited to welcome our tenth class of family medicine residents and our third sports medicine fellow,” said Dr. Kristina Diaz. “While a medical residency is important for recent graduate physicians, the program also benefits our community by increasing access to healthcare. By creating a better place to live, work and grow, this is a win for both our patients and our new family medicine residents.”
