Lane closings are expected on 24th Street between 4th Avenue and the Pacific
YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The city of Yuma released a street report on Friday night with updates for the month.
Here is a list of upcoming projects planned for the streets of Yuma:
Palo Verde Street, Catalina Go to Arizona Avenue
A contractor working for the city has made street and sidewalk improvements in the areas around Catalina Drive and Palo Verde Streets, east of 4th Avenue to 32nd Street and north along Palo Verde Street. The crews will install a permanent lane assembly in the week of April 5th. There will be temporary closures in isolated work areas, but the streets will remain open.
Drivers should be familiar with the new roundabout on Catalina Drive and Palo Verde Street. Revenue for vehicles already on the roundabout.
City Street maintenance and manure sealing
Maintenance on City Street for the week of April 5-9 will be in the following areas:

Drivers are asked to be careful with wet paint on the street from 24th Street to the south city limit from Avenue A to the west city limit.
Other supply projects and intervention permits
- 4th Avenue, 32nd Street (Cent. Link)
- Century Link will be working on communications lines along 4th Avenue and 32nd Street by the end of April. The job requires lance shifts and a reduced speed limit of 35 mph. Carefully walk through the area.
- Catalina Drive, 8th Avenue (Cent. Link)
- Century Link will work on communications lines along Catalina Drive and 8th Avenue. The work results in a reduced speed limit of 40 km / h as well as restrictions on lanes and sidewalks. The work is expected to be completed by the end of April.
- Arizona Avenue, 16th Street to 21st Street (Cent. Link)
- Century Link will work on communications lines along Arizona Avenue between 16th and 21st Streets. The work leads to lane changes and a reduced speed limit of 40 km / h. The work is expected to be completed in early May.
- Avenue A, 28th Street (APS)
- APS will lay existing steel masts and power lines by mid-May. The work requires lane changes and a reduced speed limit of 40 km / h.
- 3E Avenue, 40th Street (SW Gas)
- By mid-April, Southwest Gas will be working on gas pipelines that will require a lane change along 3E Avenue and 40th Street. Carefully walk through the area.
- 32nd Street, Avenue B (Unitechz)
- Unitechz Communications will be working on a utility pole along 32nd Street east of B Avenue. Work on 32nd Street must be closed in two lanes by April 9th. After that, the work leads to lane restrictions and a reduced speed limit of 40 km / h. The project is expected to be completed by the end of April.
- 24th Street, 4th Avenue to the Pacific (Cent. Link)
- Century Link will work on communications lines along the south side of 24th Street in isolated locations between 4th Avenue and Pacific Avenues and will require the right lane to be closed. The work should be completed by the end of April.
