2020 “Catch 22” Suspect Arrested in the Philippines – KAFF News – Flagstaff
In the Philippines, a man was arrested who was in 2020 at “Catch 22”. Yavapai County Sheriff officials say Richard Edward Vukelich, 57, was recently shown up and taken into custody in Davao city. As early as May 29, 2015, MPs responded to the Hopi Trail area in Dewey regarding a “shot fired” appeal. Upon their arrival, they learned that Vukelich was involved in a traffic accident in which he hit the victim’s vehicle while driving past. Vukelich drove on and the victim drove towards his own house until Vukelich again stepped on the brakes in front of the victim. Fearing for his safety, the victim drove around Vukelich and went to his apartment. A short time later, Vukelich confronted two other victims after they passed him in the same neighborhood. Vukelich stopped in the street, got out of his vehicle, and pointed a gun at the victim and his passenger. Vukelich then walked towards the car that had reached through the driver’s window while he pointed his gun at the driver’s face and took the pistol from him. Vukelich then fired the gun into a ditch until it was empty. Vukelich then returned the gun to the driver. The victim then drove to his home. Vukelich followed the victims to their house and continued to point his gun at them. One of the victims went to her apartment, got a rifle and pointed it at Vukelich. Only then did Vukelich go. Upon contacting Vukelich, one MP noted that he had signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment. Vukelich was arrested and sentenced, but violated his probation. He is currently being held in the LA County Jail pending extradition to Yavapai County.
