4 men arrested in connection with the raid on a Valley jewelry store

A $ 100,000 jewelry heist occurred in Phoenix, but the bracelets the suspects ended up with weren’t what they wanted. Nicole Garcia from FOX 10 reports.

Four men were arrested in connection with a robbery on a valley jewelry store that claimed $ 100,000 worth of goods, according to Phoenix police.

Now investigators are investigating whether the suspects are linked to similar jewelry thefts in other cities.

Police say the robbery is part of a possible trend in which a group of suspects are targeting a Sam’s Club warehouse. The latest incident was captured on body camera video – take a look.

Investigators said May 18 that suspects broke down the doors to gain entry to the store near 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road, went straight to the glass cases, opened them, packed the jewelry, and then left fled the scene.

The store was closed to customers at the time and two employees were not injured.

Police say technology and surveillance videos of the clash helped them locate the suspects.

On the same day, Sgt. According to Mercedes Fortune, officers tracked down a vehicle near 12th Street and Interstate 10 and arrested the four suspects.

Jamone Williams, 25, Derrick Welch, 27 and Darius Sutton, 18 were taken into custody without incident. A 17-year-old man was also arrested and sent to Durango Juvenile Detention Center.

The officers found all of the stolen jewelry.

Officials say similar raids recently took place at other Sam’s Club locations in northern Phoenix, Nevada, and California. Investigators are investigating whether these break-ins are all linked.
