Schrader was named Grand Canyon Region Trainer of the Year after leading her Coconino Panthers to a 4A postseason berth and eight-nine surprise in the opening round quarter final.

Schrader will be joined by Gracelyn Nez, named Region of the Year Offensive Player, and Preston Olney, named Region of the Year Defensive Player, at Flaggaff.

Nez’s honor is her second offensive player of the year, as does Olney, who won Defensive Player of the Year.

The Eagles watched Nez land in the entire region’s first team while Manuelito from Coconino joined her. The panther guard Wynter Huskie and the Eagles guard Sage Begay have been appointed to the second team for the entire region.

Melinda Calnimptewa of Flagstaff and Long of Coconino were given honorable mentions.

Bradshaw Mountain’s Seirra Woolley was named Area Defensive Player of the Year and Prescott’s Hollie Dalton was named Regional Player of the Year.

Jacob Begay and Olney from Coconino were first team honors in all regions, while Nick Morrow and Nick Sneezy from Flagstaff formed the second team.
