Winter Storm Watch Issued For Areas Above 6,000 Feet – KAFF News – Flagstaff

Mother Nature plans to drop a large snowball to ring in 2023. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for areas of Northern Arizona above 6,000-feet from Saturday evening through Monday morning. Areas in the watch include the Greater Flagstaff Area, Williams and the Mogollon Rim. Forecasters say Flagstaff and Williams could see between six-and-ten inches of snow, while Forest Lakes could get between a foot-and-a-foot-and-a-half of snow, and Doney Park could see three-to-five inches of snow. Arizona Snowbowl could get another two feet of snow by Monday morning. Some areas could see as much as 18 inches of snow above 75-hundred to eight-thousand game. and winds could gust as high as 40 miles-per-hour. If you have travel plans for New Year’s Eve and day, keep your eye on the weather and use caution and go slow if you have to drive across Northern Arizona.
