YPD reporting week of April 19, 2021 – Yuma Pioneer
The officials responded to the resource center to speak to staff about a male party that is in his vehicle behind the center. You are concerned about him and have wondered if the PD has any solutions for him.
The officers received a report of possible child abuse from the DHS. One youth told the school that her father beat her with a belt and left marks.
The officers responded to a parking complaint at 400 N. Albany.
Officers were sent to Threshers for a gas ride.
The officers have tracked down a suspicious party in the YDH parking lot. The party took a quick nap before finishing the trip to DIA without any disturbance.
Officers were called to 220 N Columbus for teenagers who did not want to go to school.
The officers were called to Shop-All to report the harassment. One employee felt she was being harassed by two people who were later contacted and advised to stay away, or charges would be brought.
The officers were sent to a traffic accident on the 800 block of N. Elm. One male party withdrew from the entrance to another party.
The officers were sent to a drunken group at the Harvest Motel. The party was told to calm down and go to his room or he would be evicted.
The officers were sent to a noise complaint in the 700 block of N. Main. The officers could not locate any disturbing noise in the area.
The officers were sent to a security alert at Tractor Supply in the south camp, the officers walked around the store and everything appeared to be safe.
The officers contacted a suspicious vehicle at the duck pond.
The officers were sent for a social check that a youth was involved in. It turned out to be a misunderstanding based on a “tik tok” trend.
A female party came to the PD to report someone using her personal information to pull money from the Bank of Colorado ATM. This case is being investigated.
A concerned parent called to find suspicious items that they believed their son had brought them to the residence.
The officers found a suspicious vehicle leaving the area when police saw it. The officers carried out a traffic interruption on the vehicle. The passenger got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. Officer caught the suspect. After talking to the parents, the parties were handed over to their parents.
The officers were sent on a driving complaint. The officers found the suspicious vehicle in the owner’s home.
The officers conducted a foot patrol on Main Street.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of S. Cedar Drive. One group had found a small bag in its grass near the sidewalk that contained a white substance. Collected the product and it tested positive for cocaine.
The officers were sent to an uninjured traffic accident in the Shop-All parking lot. In the absence of any violations, the parties were given an information exchange form.
The officers were sent to N. Birch’s 600 block because of a disturbance. One female party reported having problems with their son. The son was taken to the Yuma District Hospital for examination. The officers dealt with this case for over 6 hours.
