YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – A major fire on a construction site damages three units under construction.
The Yuma Fire Department said it had received reports of a fire in the 2100 block of West 8th Street early Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a large fire in several residential units under construction. Fortunately, the firefighters were able to put out the fire immediately.
While they were at the scene, they also found a second fire in a construction container on the opposite side of 8th Street. The fire on the dumpster was extinguished thanks to a joint effort between YFD and the rural subway fire department.
The Yuma Police Department is investigating the fire.
