In Yuma, fear of borders continues to grow
YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – Border guards in Yuma continue to arrest more people at the border.
Agents say they arrested 74 undocumented immigrants early Monday morning. Another group of 51 people was also found earlier. In April they found 13 groups of more than 50 undocumented immigrants in Yuma.
Yuma Sector agents arrested 1,460 unaccompanied children this year. Agents say child processing takes on the role of a parent, especially for those crossing the line alone.

Chris T. Clem, Chief Patrol Agent of the Yuma Sector, said, “The recent influx of unaccompanied children into our area of operations is taking a toll on everyone, especially our agents. It’s a situation that matters to us. “
