Man killed in gunfight at Tucson convenience store

TUCSON, AZ – A 19-year-old man was killed in a shooting in the parking lot of the Quik Mart supermarket on South Park Avenue Thursday night, Tucson police said.

Carlos Valdez died in a nearby hospital after police found him in the parking lot around 9 p.m. with gunshot wounds, police said.

No suspects have been named or charged in connection with Valdez’s death, police said.

Detectives learned that Valdez was shot after he got into an argument with a group of people in the parking lot, police said.
