Phoenix RV fire extends to seven cars, boat on fire

PHOENIX – Flames in a large open lot in Phoenix consumed several cars, two houses, a boat and a power pole late Saturday night, officials said.

At around 10 p.m., firefighters responded to calls of flame and smoke from a house on South 5th Street. When the crews arrived, they found seven vehicles and a burning boat.

The flames spread to a mobile home and another apartment building next to it. A power pole caught fire in an alley next to the property, the Phoenix fire department announced.

The crews said that two adults and three children could be safely evacuated and displaced.

Although no one was injured, the resident’s little puppy suffered minor burns and was taken to the car to see a veterinarian.

Officials determine the cause of the fire.
