Phoenix sees the warmest start to April in history

With an average high of 96 degrees, last week was well above the seasonal average high in the low 80s.

PHOENIX – We’re less than a week in April, but the Phoenix area is already experiencing record-breaking heat.

The first five days of the month in Phoenix were the warmest ever, according to the National Weather Service.

With an average high of 96 degrees, last week was well above the seasonal average high in the low 80s.

The sizzling start to the month could continue for the foreseeable future.

Temperatures throughout the valley are expected to stay in the 90s for the remainder of the week.

This comes after a year in which the valley broke countless heat records on a bleak monsoon in 2020.
